Kudos to Neurophilosophy’s post on blogs and science publishing for a term I intend to use whenever I discuss the merits of open access journals. Dinosaur publishers is ever so much more vivid than publishers struggling with old business models, and nicely implies an end of an era. As a bonus, it’s not pejorative: who doesn’t love dinosaurs?
To editors of traditional closed access publications: if your journal were a dinosaur, which would it be?
